  Initial status

  • Upper and lower master cast, both Kennedy Class II
  • Occlusal rests are prepared by the dentist
  • Plaster Type: Class 4

Advice: The model base should be trimmed slightly conically so that the model can be easily removed from the duplicating mould!

  Bite relation

  • Use a semi adjustable articulator

The outline of the relining is marked in pencil.

Extend the base over the dorsal area of the alveolar ridge as widely as possible.

Integrate a stop into the lower, free-end saddle area of a partial denture, so that the metal framework is supported!

Tip: In difficult bite relationships, and in the anterior region in general, it is recommended to make a set-up in advance!

It is not necessary to grind a food line into the plaster model.
If however, this should be desired, it is advisable to carve a very light indentation using a rounded instrument!
